About The Author
I was born in 1961 in Brooklyn, NY I did move around quite a bit. But in 1969 I still remember seeing the moon landing when Niel Armstrong stepped on to the moon. I was only 8 but that single event sparked something in me. Space is a huge curiosity even today. I still wonder if we are alone in the universe. It’s a daunting thought that few people except astronomers, physics and science teachers ponder as we all go through our daily lives.
"Not long after Charlie fell asleep, he began to stir as a bright light
appeared over his bed". The light seemed to pulse, almost alive, drawing
his attention like a magnet. As he stared at it, two things suddenly popped
out of the light and landed on his bed.
"Hi!" Charlie, they exclaimed, observing them closely. "You look like my
socks."
"We are Charlie!" the socks replied in unison, their voices cheerful and
melodic, echoing slightly in the stillness of the room.
We are here to ask you for help. First let me introduce us. I am Charm
and this is Strange. We are muons in the subatomic sense.
We are here to get your help on keeping Sock Junction alive and well. We
must borrow a particular crystal from a store in town and install it in the
great sewing machine to ensure our survival. Otherwise, Sock Junction will
cease to exist. Well said Charm said Strange what do you say Charlie? Do
you want to save our world? What is sock junction and is that light a
wormhole? "Charlie asked". Well....
